About the role The Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton have multiple exciting opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to work within our Perioperative unit.
Positions are available in the following areas:
Scrub/Scout (orthopaedics experience would be an advantage, but all specialities welcome)These roles can be offered on a full-time, part-time, or casual basis. Shifts are predominately Monday to Friday, but some weekend shifts may be required. On-call responsibilities may also a feature of this role.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton's perioperative services comprise five operating complexes, seven recovery bays and a central sterilising Unit. 
The Theatre Complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. The surgical case mix includes orthopaedic, obstetric, gynecologic, ENT, oral, urology, paediatric, general, vascular, spinal and ophthalmic surgery.
Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 per hour (RN1) plus superannuation (plus casual loading if applicable) plus access to generous salary packaging What you'll be doing As a Registered Nurse in the Theatre Department, you will provide patient-centred nursing care in collaboration with other health professionals and significant others to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient management within the Operating Theatres.

To be successful in this position, you will possess:
Currently AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)Demonstrated nursing experience within a perioperative setting or have transferable skills that can be developed with professional trainingExcellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principlesBe an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or have a perioperative ANMAC occupation code for sponsorship purposesMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
