Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital We are seeking applications for Registered Nurses to join our Palliative Care Ward at Bunbury Hospital on a permanent part-time or full-time basis.
Working as a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and cost effective manner. You will provide a high level of skill and knowledge providing palliative care to some of our most vulnerable, and critically ill patients.
The Position Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Management of clinical procedures such as Niki pumps, CADD pumps, intrathecal and rocked drains. Adheres to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards. Acts as the patient's advocate and protects the rights of individuals. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Uses resources cost effectively. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital. Communicates appropriate information to senior staff regarding customer and departmental issues. You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
