Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife Level 1 up to 30 June 2031 Reference Number: Tresillian 84/2024 Vaccination Category: Category A Employment Status: Temporary Full time or Part time on a 24/7 rotating roster for the residential program Location: Tresillian Queen Elizabeth II (QEII)/129 Carruthers Street, Curtin, ACT Salary: $78,097 - $103,125 (Plus salary packaging options plus 11.5% superannuation) If you are passionate about Child and Family Health and want to make a difference in the lives of parents with young children, then Tresillian is for you.

As a registered nurse or midwife, you need to have a postgraduate Child and Family Health qualification or be prepared to work towards a CFH qualification.

Child and Family Health Scholarships are available for the qualification generously provided by the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer.

If you are not confident you have enough experience in child and family health, you will be intensively supported in your practice by a team of experienced clinicians, educators and managers through a comprehensive onboarding program.

The Royal Society for the Welfare of Mothers and Babies, trading as Tresillian , was formed in 1918 to coordinate early child and maternal health care services in New South Wales (NSW).
Tresillian is now the largest early child and family health and parenting service in Australia, operating from four sites in metropolitan Sydney and numerous regional and rural sites supporting service provision to families across NSW, VIC, ACT and TASMANIA.

Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and or Midwife with the ACT Nursing and Midwifery Board ( or Australian Health practitioners regulation authority -AHPRA)
2.
Postgraduate /post registration qualifications in Child and Family Health, or *working toward CFH qualification (*must provide transcript evidence of course progress and/or enrolment registration to the tertiary facility)
3.
Understanding of, and commitment to, evidence-based practice.

4.
Demonstrated experience in attending to the physical, social, and emotional needs of children, and their families
5.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care.

6.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles and skills of working in partnership and the principles that underpin NSW Safestart, within a multidisciplinary team environment
7.
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, including computer literacy.

8.
Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C. Prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:
· Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
· Comply with ACT Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination clinical procedure
