Permanent Part-Time - 32 hours per fortnightOncology Registered NurseMDHS is seeking a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care and support for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
This part-time role (0.4 FTE) focuses on delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment.Provide education and psychosocial support to patients and families throughout the cancer care continuum.Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.Facilitate access to cancer-related resources and services within MDHS and the wider healthcare network.Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation in compliance with MDHS standards.Key Selection CriteriaEssential Qualifications:Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.Recent clinical experience in a health care setting, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Oncology.Technical/Professional Knowledge and SkillsDemonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Computer literacy and understanding of relevant health-related information systems.Professional manner in patient approach and staff interaction.Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation.Ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities.Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.Excellent organisational skills particularly with respect to time management.Desirable:Successful completion of eviQ ADAC modules or related course.Chemotherapy competent or working towards.CVAD and IVC competent.Applications are to include:ResumeCovering Letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria, available in the Position Description on the position advertisement.MDHS is an equal opportunity employer.
