We have a new opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.
Based at the Icon Cancer Centre at the Tennyson Centre in Kurralta Park, this role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and Site Manager and is responsible for providing medical oncology nursing care to our patients.
Our clinic hours are 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities: Contribute expert advice and demonstrate contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in oncology nursing practice in accordance with current legislation and professional standards and codes of practiceMonitoring and administering medication and intravenous infusionsPatient assessment, observation and education including expert management of treatment related side effectsInserting and care of peripheral and central access devicesAssisting doctors with procedures and providing pre and post procedure care and educationMaintaining and updating patients written and electronic recordsProviding emotional support to patients, families and carersSupport the Nurse Manager in the day to day operationsSupport a high performance culture that delivers quality patient care services through a patient centric and collaborative approachAbout you:
