Our platform has been designed to harness the latest technological advances and tools to improve access to such crucial health services for older Australians living in regional, rural and remote communities.With diagnostic tools offering live data to clinicians, this role enables you to provide professional care advice from anywhere, at any time.
Our Clinicians and Allied Health professionals work on rotating rosters to support a 24/7 service model.
Due to the demand of iAgeHealth, our team is expanding and we are welcoming new professionals to be a part of the solution elderly residents need in our rural communities.About the RoleWe are seeking a highly passionate Registered Nurse – Specialist Dementia / Mental Health to join our virtual team.
Reporting to the iAgeHealth Manager you will be able to share your expert skills and knowledge to provide best practice care for our most vulnerable people.
Being a subject matter expert in all things Mental Health, you will recognise and provide care to residents exhibiting the behaviours and psychological symptoms related to both Dementia and other mental health conditions.
Your extensive experience will also enable you to support and educate families, the iAgeHealth team and staff on the ground in the best ways to effectively support our elderly people, ensuring their safety, comfort and wellbeing is the first priority at all times.This role is a Fulltime work from home position.About You:Current APHRA registration as a Registered NursePostgraduate education in Mental Health and/or Dementia (preferably Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing)Advanced clinical experience in assessment, treatment and support planning of mental health disorders, specifically in an aging populationAbility to coach and mentor other team members in recognising and supporting elderly persons with mental health conditionsAdvanced clinical knowledge of aged-related health issuesEmpathetic approach and ability to communicate with stakeholders in a compassionate mannerCommitment to working as part of the multidisciplinary teamComputer literate and the ability to learn new procedures and programs in alignment with the iAgeHealth PlatformKnowledge and understanding of the accreditation standards in Aged CareCommitment to embrace, model and work within the core values of iAgeHealth (McLean Care)Previous experience dealing with older patients and understanding of the aging processExperience in an aged care settingUnderstanding of Aged Care and associated LegislationUnderstanding of ACFI and documentation requirementsExperience in supervising and leading staffBasic Life Support accreditationWhat's in it for you:Competitive pay rate + super + employee perksSalary packaging (up to $18,900 net) to increase your take home payAccess to Blue Light Card (Retail Discounts)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Access to Scholarship Programs & Professional DevelopmentMcLean Care is passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes the right to feel safe, be valued and heard.
