Specific Accountabilities Specific accountabilities are the outcomes that you are required to produce.

Ensures that all residents are respected and treated with empathy and dignity through providing them with choice to live their daily life in a way that is special and unique to them and that is consistent with their wellbeing and the wellbeing of others.
Ensures effective coordination of resident daily clinical and personal care needs by monitoring and correcting staff practices as required, escalating issues to the Care Manager/Residential Manager as appropriate.
Ensures care plans are established, monitored and updated by being involved in reviewing, discussing developing and writing care plans for residents.
Ensures professional, aligned and capable leadership to the team in line with the organisation's Christian vision, mission, values and strategy, be a role model of the values, select capable and aligned staff, communicate and model the vision, strategy and organisational requirements to staff for a comprehensive understanding of these, supervise and engage with staff to build effective team relations, set expectations, praise and recognise good work constantly, develop staff in their roles and careers and build on their strengths, provide regular feedback on performance, and take timely corrective action to address unacceptable performance or conduct.
Contributes to the achievement of residents' clinical and health outcomes (physical health, clinical and mobility needs) and targets are met and understood by overseeing the activities of the RN, allied health professionals, and the doctors, overseeing and authorising the care plans, by making sure that Anglicare policies, procedures and practices are followed (e.g.
: infection control, WHS, Quality), and clinical benchmarks are achieved.
Contributes to the multidisciplinary team within the facility and other relevant staff having the information to perform their duties by providing accurate and complete information both verbally and in writing including electronic data records.
Contributes to ACFI funding being optimised by monitoring the completion of documentation and ensuring the required information completed by the RNs and Allied Health professionals is in a form that is complete, accurate, thorough and timely and opportunities for increased funding are actioned as soon as possible in conjunction with the ACFI Coordinator.
Contributes to the effective functioning of the team by providing leadership, encouraging team work, providing advice and guidance, assisting in performance reviews and being involved in the selection decision of RNs (with the Care Manager), and ensuring all tasks are conducted in accordance with Anglicare policies and procedures as well as ANMC standards.
Contributes to families being fully informed about clinical issues relating to their relative in the care of Anglicare by making sure they are contacted without undue delay, implementing a course of remedial action where required, providing emotional support and coordinating counselling where required, being involved in case conferences, and informing and escalating any issues to the Care Manager/Residential Manager when necessary.
Contributes to suitable residents being admitted to the facility in the right category by completing/overseeing the initial assessment process as required and in accordance with Anglicare policy and procedures.
Contributes to a well-supported caring Christian community through the modelling and encouragement of Anglicare values and desired behaviours.
Contributes to an understanding and respectful work environment and work practices, by valuing all people and giving rightful consideration of people's cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as Australia's first people.
Contributes to the safety culture by keeping the workplace safe, clean and tidy, complying always with safe work practices, participating in workplace consultation activities, actively participating in safety activities, including hazard and incident reporting as prescribed in the WHSIMS.
Education and Experience

Registered Nurse, Division 1.
Previous experience in aged care.
Computer skills to utilise iCare equipment and system.
Demonstrated experience in leading and directing a team.
