The Registered Nurse who joins our team at Uniting AgeWell, Strath-Haven will provide person-centred care to our residents and leadership support to the team.
In addition to delivering high quality, person-centred nursing care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management, the registered nurse is responsible for a level of administrative responsibilities, including:
Delivering high quality nursing skills to residents and supporting their families, with consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needsComplex needs require following skillsetscatheter management incl. catheterizationpalliative care incl. syringe driver managementwound managementidentification and escalation of clinical deteriorationstrong documentation skills with knowledge of ANACCProviding leadership, support and supervision to Personal Care Workers and EN team membersAnalysing risk, implementing strategies and participating in clinical handoversPromoting a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Nurse in chargeFixed term part time opportunity working Sunday to Wednesday 9.45pm-7.15am in a 6 month contractAbout you: You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential!
