Radley is a 29-bed ward that offers a dynamic mix of cases including acute stroke care, pre and post brain and spinal surgeries, neuro oncology surgeries and general adult neurology cases such as Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Migraines and Seizures. The ward has recently been certified as a Stroke Unit by the Australian Stroke Coalition and is also providing leading treatment for Parkinson's disease with Deep Brain Stimulation and the use of Apomorphine and Duodopa.Reporting to the Nursing Unit Manager, you will be working within a long-standing and close-knit team to provide quality care to patients. You will be supported by a strong operating team as you settle into your new role with on-the-floor training and will be provided with multiple buddy shifts. Your NUM has an open-door policy, is approachable, and has a key focus on Patient and Staff wellbeing.Who we're looking for:You'll have current AHPRA registration as an RN with at least 2 years post-registration experience.You'll come from a background with neuroscience/neurosurgery experience (desirable) or surgical background with a strong drive to learn and grow your skills.You'll have demonstrated elevated levels of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.You'll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and in writing) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families, and colleagues.You'll have the flexibility to work a rotating roster of 8-hour shifts.You'll have full Australian working rights.About Us:Adventist HealthCare owns and operates San Day Surgery, Hornsby, and the Sydney Adventist Hospital (fondly known as the San).
