This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Position Profile: Join the Neonatology team at Child and Adolescent Health Service, where we have opportunities for enthusiastic and ambitious nurses to join our large, supportive team.
The Neonatology Registered Nurse works in collaboration with the neonatal team to provide care and expertise to the sickest newborn babies and infants in Western Australia.
Our most successful Registered Nurses have skills in neonatal, paediatric or busy acute settings.
While this experience is highly regarded, we also welcome applications from those with skills and experience outside of these settings.
Whether you have recently finished a graduate program, have experience in a complementary specialty or are already an experienced neonatal nurse, there is a supported education program suited to you.

Working across King Edward Memorial Hospital and Perth Children's Hospital our Registered Nurses are provided with development opportunities to advance their clinical skills in Neonatal care.
This includes a comprehensive orientation and induction programme, professional development courses, simulation training and the Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing: Neonatal Intensive Care.
As a critical service, Registered Nurses will need to be available for a minimum of 0.63FTE (48 hrs per fortnight), embracing a rotational roster across seven days, encompassing a blend of early, late, and night shifts.
About the Department/Service/Directorate: Our Neonatology Service provides care for the most vulnerable newborns – those born prematurely or requiring specialized treatment during their initial months of life.
Our extensive Neonatal Intensive Care Units, situated at both King Edward Memorial Hospital and Perth Children's Hospital, oversee the well-being of approximately 3000 infants annually.
Within our comprehensive service, we operate the Newborn Emergency Transport Service (NETS), a mobile intensive care unit designed for safely transporting critically ill babies across WA.
Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
Fixed term contracts can be held by individuals on visas that allow working rights within Australia.
International applicants: International nurses currently working in a neonatal intensive care unit for more than 3 years are welcome to apply; however, VISA sponsorships are currently not available.
