The Department of Health are seeking skilled and self-motivated Registered Nurses to join the Short Stay Suite at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
The Short Stay Suite is seeking both surgical and endoscopy nurses.
Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

This may include participation in research and evidence based practice.Identify and meet educational needs of patients/clients and their families/significant others.The Team: The Short Stay Suite is a component of the Perioperative Precinct and incorporates Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA), Holding Bay, Same Day Discharge (SDD), 19 bed Surgical Ward and a state-of-the-art standalone Endoscopy Suite.The Short Stay Suite is a fast paced, high turnover unit which will provide you with many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing care skill sets.Details of appointment: Multiple Permanent, full time and part time, shift worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.Benefits available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways.Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
