About the role South West Healthcare (SWH) provides pregnancy, intrapartum and postnatal care to over 750 high and low-risk pregnancies per annum. The Maternity Unit has 4 Birthing Suites, 12 Antenatal and Postnatal rooms, and 6 Special Care Nursery cots and offers a comprehensive range of services to support women and their families.
In the role of Registered Midwife, you will plan, implement, evaluate and maintain a high standard of midwifery care to achieve desired clinical outcomes while recognizing the needs and acknowledging the culture, values, and dignity of all patients and their families. You will empower all people and their families within a service that embraces both continuity of philosophy and consistency of advice and information.
You will provide direct patient care through a consumer-centred approach and within your scope of practice. You will have the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled, professional, friendly, and dedicated team who take pride in providing high-quality service and great care.

The successful applicant must be able to work across the scope of midwifery practice, which includes birthing suite, antenatal, postnatal, and special care nurseries. You will have demonstrated competency in clinical practice and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels while providing high-quality nursing care. Additionally, evidence of a commitment to ongoing education and professional development will be highly regarded.
