Eyre and Far North Local Health Network, Ceduna District Health Services, Ceduna Salary: $36.65 - $50.01 per hour + 25% casual loading - Casual (up to 30 June 2025) - RN/M1 Overview By joining the Casual Talent Pool, you'll be at the forefront of delivering top-tier nursing care within Ceduna District Health Services. Your role will involve assessing the unique needs of each patient and devising tailored service plans, drawing from a spectrum of proven options. Alongside, you'll conduct health education sessions, offer counseling, and spearhead rehabilitation initiatives to enhance individual or group health outcomes. Your expertise will extend to mentoring newer or less experienced staff, including Enrolled Nurses, student nurses, and other personnel involved in fundamental nursing care.
Your journey will be marked by continuous professional growth, as you refine your skills through ongoing development and hands-on experience. The role of the Registered Nurse encompasses delivering nursing and/or midwifery services within healthcare environments. Individuals at this level progress from novice practitioners to proficient professionals, continuously enhancing their knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and practical experience. They take ownership of their standards of nursing/midwifery care and the tasks delegated to colleagues, demonstrating accountability for their actions.

The Ceduna District Health Services is run by the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network and includes Ceduna Hospital. Ceduna Hospital has 15 inpatient beds and provides services including emergency, surgical, general medicine, birthing, renal dialysis, diagnostic radiology and outpatients.
There are also residential aged care services provided within the hospital, at the Kuhlmann Wing and Ceduna Senior Citizens Village. There is also a GP family practice, Community Health services, Allied Health services, and Child, Adolescent and Adult Mental Health services offered on the hospital site.
Ceduna is a place on the Far West Coast of South Australia and is known as the coastal gateway to the Nullarbor on the Eyre Peninsula, the home to beautiful beaches, fresh seafood and a fully serviced town centre.

Applicant Information Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
Check(s) DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position.
