The Mater Mental Health Centre is a 100-bed acute Mental Health facility, strategically co-located with the Calvary Mater Hospital.
Our centre is designed to cater to a wide range of mental health needs, featuring acute care beds, a specialised Older Persons' Mental Health unit, a high-intensity Mental Health ICU, and a comprehensive assessment unit.
We are committed to fostering your professional growth and ensuring you are fully equipped to excel in your role.
To support this, we offer regular and robust training programs, including hands-on clinical skills days, an extensive in-service education program, and continuous access to experienced Clinical Nurse Educators (CNEs) and Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNCs).
Our supportive environment also includes dedicated mentors who will guide you every step of the way.
For those new to Mental Health, we provide specialised orientation days designed to ease your transition into this challenging yet rewarding field.
