Description:Mackay Base Hospital requires Registered Nurses for their Medical ward.
The G2 Ward is a 28-bed adult medical unit, which can expand to 30 beds if required.
The unit provides multi-disciplinary assessment, management, and care to general medical patients, including Oncology, Cardiology, Respiratory, Renal, and Acute General Medicine.
Start Dates:20.01.2025 – 30.03.202503.02.2025 – 30.03.202524.02.2025 – 30.03.2025Mandatory Experience:A minimum of 2 years' Medical experienceGood computer literacy skillsMandatory Competencies:BLS competencyManual and patient handlingInfection controlAggressive behaviour managementMandatory reporting for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglectMedications management including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012*Additional competencies may be requested by the health service.
