Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital You will provide comprehensive care to patients on our medical oncology ward, working alongside various clinicians to provide acute medical (respiratory, renal, geriatric and general medical) and specialised cancer treatment, including oncology, haematology and palliative care.

The modern and up-to-date hospital has a 24/7 accident and emergency department, a comprehensive surgical program supported by a 12-bed critical/intensive care unit, rapidly growing cardiology, medical, rehabilitation, and cancer services.
The Position Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with recent oncology experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits: Salary $67,087 - $94,754 (pro rata basis for Part time) plus 11.5% superannuation Permanent full time/part time positions available.
