Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital: You will provide comprehensive care to patients on our medical oncology ward, working alongside various clinicians to provide acute medical (respiratory, renal, geriatric, and general medical) and specialized cancer treatment, including oncology, haematology, and palliative care.
St John of God Geelong Hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute services to the rapidly growing coastal city. The modern hospital has a 24/7 accident and emergency department, a comprehensive surgical program supported by a 12-bed critical/intensive care unit, and rapidly growing cardiology, medical, rehabilitation, and cancer services.
The Position: Assesses, plans, delivers, and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and hospital. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students, including orientating and preceptoring staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. You will have registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with recent oncology experience and a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
To succeed, you will need the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits: Salary: $67,087 - $94,754 (pro rata basis for Part time) plus 11.5% superannuation. Permanent full-time/part-time positions available.
