Kimberley Renal Services now has an opportunity for a dedicated Dialysis Registered Nurse Level 2 to join their KRS team in Kununurra WA, on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will manage a client caseload and deliver culturally safe nursing care in accordance with unit protocols and best practice guidelines. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Provide care in accordance with unit protocols and within the scope of practice as set out by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Evaluate and adjust treatment parameters in relation to clients' response to treatment and monthly blood tests, in accordance with unit policies and consultation with medical staff where necessary.Ensure assigned portfolios are managed by unit staff and provide support as required.Coordinate the shift and support the skill development of junior staff.Contribute to the development and implementation of a KRS Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) framework.Provide a holistic approach to client care, contributing to the multidisciplinary team and making referrals as needed.Support the role of the Aboriginal Health Worker.About You To be successful in this position, you will need to be eligible for national registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), along with advanced renal clinical skills and experience in the renal field (including acute and in centre dialysis). While not essential, candidates with at least 18 months current experience in haemodialysis nursing or working towards a Certificate in Nephrology will be held in high regard.
Please note: To be eligible for this role, you will be required to hold a current 'C' Class Driver's License.
Your employment will also be subject to a National Police Clearance.
