The Registered Nurse who joins our team at Uniting AgeWell, Lillian Martin will provide person centred care to our residents and leadership support to the team.
In addition to delivering high quality, person centred nursing care to residents with complex needs such as palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management, the newly hired registered nurse is responsible for a level of administrative responsibilities, including: Deliver high quality nursing skills to residents and support their families, with consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs Complex needs require following skillsets catheter management incl.
catheterization palliative care incl.
syringe driver management wound management identification and escalation of clinical deterioration strong documentation skills with knowledge of ANACC Provide leadership, support and supervision to Personal Care Workers and EN team members Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handovers Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management  Full time opportunity working Night shift 9.45pm - 7.15am About you: You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential!
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Div 1 Experienced as a Supervisor, registered nurse in residential aged care (must have) Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired) Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one on one interactions Respectful, kind and positive nature with a team-based attitude Available to work the above-listed roster Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions A commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the B E S T  way of life ( Believe, Excel, Support and Trust ) You will need: A current Vulnerable People card Full Australian working rights Current police records check or  NDIS (as required)  (or be willing to undertake this process) Current and ongoing flu vaccinations Make a positive difference in your community – apply now!
