Randstad ACT Health is recruiting for the premier tertiary teaching hospital for the Australian Capital Territory and the surrounding NSW region, and is expanding to meet the needs of our growing population!
Canberra's new 44,000-square-meter Critical Services Building features state-of-the-art facilities, including an expanded emergency department with a dedicated children's area, additional operating rooms, more treatment spaces, and increased intensive care beds.
The building also houses an intraoperative MRI suite, three new cardiac cath labs-including a hybrid lab-and an electrophysiology lab.
This new facility is among Australia's most advanced healthcare environments, and we have various vacancies in the following areas:
Emergency Department (ED): Handling up to 85,000 presentations annually.Intensive Care Unit (ICU): A 39-bed Level 3 Tertiary Referral Centre admitting over 1,900 patients each year.Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL): Part of our Cardiology services, offering diagnostic and interventional care for both emergent and elective patients.Coronary Care Unit (CCU): A 20-bed unit with acute, subacute, and Chest Pain Evaluation Unit beds.Perioperative: Includes the Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) Unit, Operating Theatres for various surgical specialties, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), Extended Day Surgery Unit (EDSU), and specialized procedural areas.Duties and Responsibilities: Under the guidance of your manager, as a Registered Nurse Level 1 in an acute care setting, you will:
Deliver Patient-Centered Care: Provide care that prioritizes patients' needs and operates within an ethical and professional framework.Adhere to Legislation: Practice in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Respect Individuals: Recognize and honor the dignity, culture, values, beliefs, and rights of patients and groups.Advocate for Patient Rights: Support individuals and groups in securing their rights to appropriate nursing care within the organizational structure.Operate Within Scope: Understand and work within your defined scope of practice.Apply Knowledge and Skills: Utilize nursing and healthcare knowledge to deliver safe and effective care.Follow Policies and Standards: Integrate organizational policies and professional standards into your practice.Perform Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks relevant to your role that support the unit and organization.Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: $72,698 - $97,112 + 11.5% Super
