Skills and experience: Ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. Knowledge of legal and professional responsibilities. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with the multidisciplinary team, patients and other stakeholders, including participation in relevant networks. High standard of written and oral communication skills within the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families. Ability to use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position. Ability to provide clinical education and support and demonstrate own ongoing professional development. Ability to demonstrate competency as outlined in the NMBA Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. Requirements: Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus. Highly Desirable: Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of Infectious Diseases Services. Desirable: Infectious Diseases Nursing Experience. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
