We strongly encourage applicants from key communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTIQA+ people, and people living with disabilities.The Role:Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.It would be preferable that the successful applicant would holds, or working towards the following:Previous perioperative surgery experience highly desirable.Holds or is working towards post graduate qualifications in peri operative nursing.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.The Team:The newly commissioned Operating Theatre complex consists of two Endoscopy, two General Theatres, Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and a Day Surgery Unit (DSU).Currently functioning in two theatres each day, with an uplift to increase to three theatres in the coming months.The regional theatres for the Northwest, providing surgical services for minor general, gynaecology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, urology and dental procedures for the North and Northwest.Why Tasmania:The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. It also means embracing a lifestyle where you can enjoy extraordinary experiences outside of work while making a significant impact on the community during work.Details of appointments:Multiple permanent full time, day worker positions, working up to 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary:$75,902to $102,908 per annum.
