About the role: An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to work in the Pre-Admission Clinic, in a Maximum Term Maternity Leave Relief position for 12 months.
The role involves the co-ordination and pre-operative preparation for patients in the Pre-Admission Clinic, with a multidisciplinary team of Health professionals through review of patient details; patient education and pre-admission assessment, to ensure adequate patient preparation for the patient scheduled surgery/procedure, including discharge planning.
The role of the Clinic Nurse, along with another RN and Anaesthetist, collaborate patient assessment and determine clinical suitability ahead of procedural booking date. Clinic appointments are both face to face, virtual or via telephone. The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday, 0800-1630hrs.
