A vacancy exists in the Operating Theatres for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive Recovery Unit team.
The Recovery Nurse plays a critical role in the recovery of patients after they have undergone anaesthesia and surgical procedures. Their responsibilities include: maintaining patient safety, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, providing patient education, and providing comprehensive handover as well as appropriate documentation.
The Recovery Room nurse should be a strong communicator with a friendly personality, and have the ability to provide high quality patient care under pressure. Recovery Nurses play a vital role in ensuring patients transition safely from surgery, with an emphasis on emotional support.

If you have recently completed your new graduate program or you have over 8 years under your belt we'd love to hear more about you. You'll have a Nurse Manager, Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and a great team supporting and working alongside you.

2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.
