Overview Working within a supportive work environment with many opportunities for multidisciplinary involvement, this is a rewarding position within the Kapunda Hospital that requires an innovative and experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife who can rise to a challenge.
Primarily your role will have a focus on the provision of direct nursing care and individual case management to patients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area.
You will assess individual patient needs, plan and implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options.
You will be a meticulous well-organised individual with excellent attention to detail, who can review decisions, assessments and recommendations from less experienced Registered Nurses/Midwives, Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing and Students.
Registered as a Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate.
Able to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting, you will demonstrate a high standard of interpersonal skills with all people at all times, and the ability to work as a team leader.
You must be proficient in the use of Information Technology, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse, multidisciplinary team setting.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting will also contribute to your success in this role.
