This position provides direct clinical care in accordance with their scope of practice and oversees the delivery of clinical and allied health services for residents, including guidance to clinical and care staff.
The Registered Nurse coordinates and has leadership responsibilities for all resident care and works closely with the Clinical Manager in the identification of evidence based best practice and quality initiatives across the facility.
Duties: Develop individualised, person-centred support that promotes physical and emotional wellbeingProvide direct clinical care and oversee the delivery of clinical and allied health servicesReport on clinical incidents and care related eventsCreate and monitor care plans and assessments for residentsProvide leadership and supervision to enrolled nurses and care partnersSupervise and administer medications in accordance with regulations, policies and scope of practiceBuild relationships with individual residents, families and staffComplete reporting and documentation in line with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, professional standards, policies, procedures and Baptistcare valuesSkills and Experience: Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseDemonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse within Aged Care facilities is ESSENTIALStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead and positively influence a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of person-centred supportWillingness to obtain a new National Police Check (cost covered)Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical if requiredWillingness to obtain National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check (reimbursed upon commencement)About Us: BaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT and WA.
