Full-time & Part-time Registered Nurses needed for our Level 1 Surgical Ward Great opportunity to develop your skills and grow within our supportive team Potential to work across multiple departments with a varied casemix Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking Full-Time and Part-time Registered Nursing applicants to join our Surgical Ward team on Level 1. 
You'll be based primarily on our specialty Vascular/Cardiac ward; however you have the ability to pick up shifts across the other surgical ward areas as these become available, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills further.
About us Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
As  Registered Nurse your  responsibilities will include: Undertake acute nursing care in accordance with legislation Deliver evidence based nursing care Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team Ensure patient and staff safety Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care Proactively assess the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient Complete all required documentation in accordance with local and National Policies Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Minimum of 2 years' relevant post registration qualifications Demonstrated experience working within an acute surgical setting and exposure to Vascular / Cardiac nursing preferable Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiative using research principles to support evidence-based practice, including development of policies and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive team. Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised patient centred care Demonstrated professional manner when working with complex situations; Advanced communication skills as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a willingness to learn new skills. Staff in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.  If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses' and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024" (salaries range between $35.46 and $49.79 per hour).
