You will work on a roster with shifts varying across morning and afternoon. Full time and part time (minimum 0.4) positions available.As a nurse, you will play a vital role in meeting our residents' needs by providing care and creating customised care plans catering to their unique requirements. You will facilitate open communication between residents, their families, and care workers, empowering families to participate actively in the lives of their loved ones and ensuring that all residents experience the Princes Court resident-centred care approach that promotes living life to the end.In our dynamic environment, each day presents new challenges and opportunities, allowing you to provide leadership to the care team, providing personalised care that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUndertake medication management.Apply evidence-based clinical knowledge across a broad range of areas.Provide leadership to enrolled nurses, personal carers and the wider organisation.Recognise and respond to resident needs and coordinate response.Participate and lead palliative care management.Liaise and consult with a range of health, allied health and medical professionals.Oversee wound management practices.Follow and promote exceptional infection control practices with residents, visitors and staff and maintain an environment that prevents the spread of infection within the facility.Assist residents with social and emotional wellbeing and support activities of daily living where necessary.Provide education and mentoring to peers, residents and families.KEY SELECTION CRITERIAHold a valid qualification with current AHPRA registration and have successfully completed medication administration education.Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.Experience of the Commonwealth's Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards and required documentation.High level knowledge and understanding of the Serious Incident Response Scheme and its requirements.Demonstrated experience with antimicrobial stewardship and antimicrobial resistance.Knowledge of the appropriate usage of psychotropic medication in behaviour management, including the assessment of unmet needs and the use of non-pharmacological strategies.Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workload.Computer literacy is essential.Demonstrated experience with conflict management.Demonstrated experience with human and material resource management.What Princes Court offers you:As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will enjoy an attractive above-award salary circa $90,000 - $110,000 (full time) (commensurate with experience) PLUS super, PLUS salary packaging (upto $16,500 + $2500) plus applicable penalties and allowances.
