We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their physical and mental well-being. This position requires a commitment to providing person-centered care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals within the NDIS framework.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough health assessments for NDIS participants, considering their unique medical, psychological, and social needs.Collaborate with NDIS Support Coordinators to develop comprehensive care plans.Work closely with support coordinators and other healthcare providers to ensure the seamless integration of medical care into participants' overall support plans.Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed, and monitor participant responses.Advocate for the health and well-being of NDIS participants within the organization and with external healthcare stakeholders.Provide education and support to participants and their support networks regarding health management.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including support workers, therapists, and psychologists, to address the holistic needs of NDIS participants.Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss and plan comprehensive care strategies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, care plans, and incident reports.Ensure compliance with NDIS documentation requirements and reporting standards.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Nursing.Current and valid nursing license in the state/region of practice.Proven experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a healthcare setting serving individuals with disabilities.Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Familiarity with the NDIS framework and disability support principles.Compassion and empathy for individuals with disabilities.Cultural competence and an understanding of diversity in healthcare.Ability to adapt to the unique needs and preferences of NDIS participants.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.Any other relevant certifications as required by local regulations.Satisfactory National Police Check.
