The Opportunity
We have a permanent full-time position available in the South of Tasmania as a Registered Nurse.
The role of the Registered Nurse is to support the Facility Manager and Care Manager in assisting Care Staff to provide a range of clinical care and support services in collaboration with care recipients, their families, and other members of the health care team. Our Nurses assist care recipients to experience a greater level of independence and ensure their health and wellness are supported.
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide supervision and monitor Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers, and exercise initiative in regard to clinical care matters to consumers in accordance with:
The Aged Care Quality Standards
The Code of Conduct for Aged Care
The Charter of Residents Rights
Organisational Policies and Procedures
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate sound clinical skills, managerial skills, be consumer-focused, have a solid understanding of aged care accreditation processes and an appreciation of current and future aged care funding models.
What you'll need:
Relevant qualifications and current AHPRA registration
Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards (or the ability to acquire this)
Satisfactory national police check within the last three months
Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement
If you are on a visa, a copy of your current IMMI Letter
