About the role Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a part time basis 64 hours per fortnight working various shifts across a 7-day roster.
This position is in the surgical ward covering cases mixes across general surgery, urology, colorectal, gynaecological.

As a Registered Nurse – Surgical your responsibilities will include: Deliver evidence-based nursing careLiaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetySupervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient careProactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patientDocument into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminologyMinimum Requirements: Authority to Work in AustraliaBachelor of Science (Nursing)1-2 years surgical experience (desirable)Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRACompliance with ACQSHC National standardsSound clinical decision making and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning teamExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsHighly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focusedExperience in the care of one or more post-surgical specialties – neurosurgery, orthopaedics, general surgery, colorectal, gynaecology, plastics.Why Healthscope?
