Darwin Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Medical/Surgical Ward. We pride ourselves on quality care for our patients and their families.
Jacana Ward comprises of a 42 bed surgical unit, Special Observation Unit (SOU) and Infusion Centre. You will be provided many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing skill sets.
You will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other healthcare professionals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include: Utilising a structured approach to carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients. Implementing planned evidence-based nursing interventions within your scope of practice. Demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and procedures and management of patients seeking outstanding care. Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision. Maintaining and adhering to Infection Control policies and practices. Complying with organizational policies, procedures and guidelines. About Healthscope Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licensed 122 bed hospital providing a broad range of multi-day and day surgery including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT, and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Our world-class private hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote aboriginal communities and even offshore. We are co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital and partner in delivering specialised care to patients from across the top end of Australia.
About You Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Recent nursing experience on a surgical/medical ward. Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles. National Police Clearance. WWC. Proof of Immunisation. If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and the Darwin Private Hospital - Nurses and Midwives - Enterprise Agreement - 2021-2024 ($37.79 - $50.97 per hour).
