Darwin Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Medical/Surgical Ward.
We pride ourselves on quality care for our patients and their families.
Jacana Ward comprises of a 42 bed surgical unit, Special Observation Unit (SOU) and Infusion Centre.
You will be provided many learning opportunities across a diverse range of nursing skill sets.
You will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other healthcare professionals.
Key Duties and responsibilities will include:
Utilising a structured approach to carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients
Implement planned evidence-based nursing interventions within your scope of practice
Demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and procedures and management of patients seeking outstanding care
Implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
Maintain and adhere to Infection Control policies and practices
Comply with organizational policies, procedures and guidelines

About you
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Recent nursing experience on a surgical/medical ward
Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
National Police Clearance
WWC
Proof of Immunisation
If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and the Darwin Private Hospital - Nurses and Midwives - Enterprise Agreement $ $50.
