About the Role
You are a suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated Anaesthetic/PACU nurse who is seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of our dynamic team. Under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care in the peri-anaesthetic environment. We are able to provide you with excellent educational opportunities across a broad range of specialities including Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastics, General, Urology and Orthopaedics.
Ability to work efficiently as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrate 'best practice' clinical skills within the Perioperative environment
Act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care
Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in the area of Perioperative Nursing (Perianaesthesia stream)
Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital guidelines
Assists in the achievement of ward/unit key performance indicators.
Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum).

Current AHPRA registration
Current 12 month experience in perioperative nursing
Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (peri-anaesthesia stream) is desirable
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

St Vincent's Operating Suite currently houses 12 theatres, 12 anaesthetic rooms and a Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU). Working alongside the Sterile Processing Centre, Day Procedures, Cath Lab and Endoscopy Centres, the department undertakes over 13,000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialities over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week.
