This is a part-time (32hrs), permanent position where you will be required to work across a rotating 24/7 roster.The 10 North Surgical Unit specialises in Colorectal, Breast and Endocrine, Upper G.I., Thoracic, Hepatobiliary and General Surgeries.
This team delivers a high level of specialised care to patients, their families and visitors via a supportive team who takes pride in providing the highest level of patient care.
The team is supportive, approachable, patient-focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision,Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth,Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment,Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients.About youTo be successful in your application, you will have:Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse,Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care,Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes,Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice,Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team,Understanding of the Mater mission and values and the ability to engage others in living these values in 10 North.Applications close on Thursday 14th November 2024.
