About the role Mater Private Hospital Brisbane has opportunities for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the General Surgical (10 North) team. This is a part-time (32hrs), permanent position where you will be required to work across a rotating 24/7 roster.
The 10 North Surgical Unit specialises in Colorectal, Breast and Endocrine, Upper G.I., Thoracic, Hepatobiliary and General Surgeries. This team delivers a high level of specialised care to patients, their families and visitors via a supportive team who takes pride in providing the highest level of patient care. The team is supportive, approachable, patient-focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.
Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision, Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth, Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment, Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients. About you To be successful in your application, you will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care, Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes, Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice, Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team, Understanding of the Mater mission and values and the ability to engage others in living these values in 10 North.
