Entry to Acute Care Program (EACP) We are looking for nurses (Registered and Enrolled) who are wishing to transition into acute care to join our EACP, including recent graduates.The program is for the duration of 6 weeks, offering a supported transition to practice in acute careProgress with purpose at one of Australia's largest health care providersGet ahead with salary packaging, benefits and professional development in a supportive team environmentAbout the role Calvary Launceston is offering suitable candidates the opportunity to transition from Sub Acute to Acute healthcare through a supported transition to practice program. The 6 week Transition to Acute Care Program offers; Hospital orientation, clinical skills workshops, supernumerary induction to the clinical setting and graduated patient loads over 5 weeks. You will be supported throughout your transition by a Clinical Nurse Facilitator and nominated Preceptor.
Level 3 is an acute 33 bed Surgical/Medical ward specialising in General, Bariatric, Urological, Gynaecological, Plastics/Reconstructive, and Colorectal Surgery as well as 14 Medical Beds. There is also a 4 bed Higher Observation Unit attached to the ward which you may have the opportunity to work in. Level 3 offers a wide range of learning opportunities within a supportive environment. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to transition into the acute Hospital setting.
