Both the Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurses will be responsible for the provision and documentation of safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.We are seeking staff for two different wards, both of which are acute medical wards caring for complex medical patients:5A: Is a stroke unit4C: Specialises in eating disorder managementENROLLED NURSE DUTIES:Maintain confidentialityProvide care within scope of practice and level of competencePlan appropriate care following assessment in consultation with the patient and registered nurseImplement planned care as delegatedComplete accurate documentation of nursing care and patient's progress in the patients' medical recordProvide education and information to patients and carers to facilitate understanding and self-careFunction in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practiceAct in accordance with profession's code of ethics and professional standardsProtect the rights of patients while respecting their values, customs, and spiritual beliefsREGISTERED NURSE DUTIES:Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of patientsIdentify and implement discharge-planning requirementsPlan appropriate care in consultation with patient and multidisciplinary teamPrioritise and implement planned care to achieve expected outcomes of established prioritiesEvaluate patient progress and revise nursing interventions where requiredComplete accurate documentation of nursing care and patients' progress in the patients' medical record and communicate to other team membersProtect the rights of patients while respecting their values, customs, and spiritual beliefsProvide education and information to patients and carers which facilitates their understanding and careFunction in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practiceAct in accordance with profession's code of ethics and professional standardsMaintain confidentialityABOUT YOU:ENROLLED NURSEEnrolled Nurse – Medication Endorsed authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital settingDemonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a harmonious collaborative teamDemonstrated ability to participate in improvement projects using sound planning and evaluation of outcomesDemonstrated ability to critically appraise new clinical situations and environments and plan safe, appropriate patient care in consultation with the Registered Nurse and the multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated commitment to personal and professional development as evidenced by personal portfolioREGISTERED NURSERegistered Nurse authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital settingDemonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a harmonious collaborative teamDemonstrated ability to critically appraise new clinical situations and environments and plan safe, appropriate patient care with the multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated ability to initiate/be involved in quality improvement projects using sound planning and evaluation of outcomesDemonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development as evidenced by personal portfolioHOW DO YOU APPLY?Click 'Apply for Job' and follow the prompts.
