Both the Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurses will be responsible for the provision and documentation of safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.
We are seeking staff for two different wards, both of which are acute medical wards caring for complex medical patients:
5A: Is a stroke unit 4C: Specialises in eating disorder management ENROLLED NURSE DUTIES: Maintain confidentiality Provide care within scope of practice and level of competence Plan appropriate care following assessment in consultation with the patient and registered nurse Implement planned care as delegated Complete accurate documentation of nursing care and patient's progress in the patients' medical record Provide education and information to patients and carers to facilitate understanding and self-care Function in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practice Act in accordance with profession's code of ethics and professional standards Protect the rights of patients while respecting their values, customs, and spiritual beliefs REGISTERED NURSE DUTIES: Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of patients Identify and implement discharge-planning requirements Plan appropriate care in consultation with patient and multidisciplinary team Prioritise and implement planned care to achieve expected outcomes of established priorities Evaluate patient progress and revise nursing interventions where required Complete accurate documentation of nursing care and patients' progress in the patients' medical record and communicate to other team members Protect the rights of patients while respecting their values, customs, and spiritual beliefs Provide education and information to patients and carers which facilitates their understanding and care Function in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practice Act in accordance with profession's code of ethics and professional standards Maintain confidentiality ABOUT YOU: ENROLLED NURSE Enrolled Nurse – Medication Endorsed authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a harmonious collaborative team Demonstrated ability to participate in improvement projects using sound planning and evaluation of outcomes Demonstrated ability to critically appraise new clinical situations and environments and plan safe, appropriate patient care in consultation with the Registered Nurse and the multidisciplinary team Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development as evidenced by personal portfolio REGISTERED NURSE Registered Nurse authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a harmonious collaborative team Demonstrated ability to critically appraise new clinical situations and environments and plan safe, appropriate patient care with the multidisciplinary team Demonstrated ability to initiate/be involved in quality improvement projects using sound planning and evaluation of outcomes Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development as evidenced by personal portfolio HOW DO YOU APPLY?
