About the role Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has an exciting opportunity for a compassionate Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to work within our Perioperative Unit.
Positions are available in the following areas:
Scrub/ScoutThere are permanent full-time, part-time and casual positions and you must be available for all shift types including day, afternoon, after hours and on call.
Education and training opportunities are available for the successful candidate.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton's perioperative services comprise five operating rooms, two day surgery rooms, seven recovery bays and a central sterilising Unit.
The Theatre Complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures.
The surgical case mix includes orthopaedic, obstetric, gynecologic, ENT, oral, urology, paediatric, general, vascular, spinal and ophthalmic surgery.
As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty.
Core responsibilities include supporting patients in the activities of daily living, assisting in meeting basic human needs, and recognising the normal and abnormal assessment, intervention and evaluation of patient health and functional status with ongoing communication with the Registered Nurse.

Experience within theatre and anaesthetics is highly regarded.
