Your role at St John of God Midland HospitalYou will work in a fast-paced, accelerated environment that requires adapting very quickly to urgent and emergency situations and thriving on the unpredictability of the department.
Our accident and emergency department consists of 48 clinical treatment bays, three resuscitation bays and a separate four-bed paediatric assessment unit.
Our accident and emergency department nurses are supported by our medical teams to be able to make quick and skilled clinical decisions fostering a strong alliance between doctors and nurses.
The PositionAssesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.Position RequirementsYou will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
