Eyre and Far North Local Health Network, Elliston Hospital Salary: $36.65 - $50.01 per hour + 25% casual loading - Casual (up to 31 May 2025) - RN/M1 About the role Enjoying the country hospitality of rural South Australia, you will provide direct person centred nursing/midwifery care and individual case management to patients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time. A diverse role with an interesting caseload, you will assess individual patient needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies. You will plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs, as well as contribute to patient safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting. In addition, you will contribute to procedures for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours.

About You You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting. Experience in caring for people able to connect and communicate with people with Dementia. The Elliston Hospital is part of the Eyre and Far North Local Health Service and provides health care services to people in the area of the District Council of Elliston. We have a 21 bed hospital which includes The Pines Hostel, a purpose-built secure environment for older people and those suffering dementia.
