The Clinical liaison nurses are an integral part of the Peri operative process. With the support of administration and Nurse Unit Manager the Elective Surgery Access Clinical Liaison Nurse is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and management of waiting list, scheduling of operating lists, and coordinating with the Elective Surgery Clinic and streamlining the elective admission process. This process includes pre-operative assessment of patients, multidisciplinary liaison with all stakeholders and incorporating discharge planning and patient education.
