You'll be part of a supportive team, collaborating with correctional staff to deliver integrated health services that prioritise rehabilitation, safety, and high standards of care.
As a Registered Nurse in the Drug & Alcohol team, you'll make a positive impact by:
Assessing and managing intoxication and withdrawal statesActing as a triage point for non-alcohol and other drug staffConducting comprehensive and accurate health assessments for patientsPromoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmatesCollaborating with correctional staff to ensure safe, patient-centred careMaintaining high standards of practice to facilitate safe healthcare deliveryAbout Clarence Correctional Centre Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia. Located on the beautiful NSW Mid-North Coast approx. 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes and some of the best Australian beaches with a variety of multi-cultural cafes, restaurants and friendly community towns.
