Permanent part-time opportunity - 48 hours per fortnight We're expanding our team to support our increased operation hours from 20 Jan 2025 Varied shifts across a rotating roster - Monday to Saturday Located at Darwin Donor Centre, NT Helping healthy happy donors save lives! About the role We're on the lookout for a Registered Nurse to join our team at the Darwin Donor Centre.

As a Registered Nurse with us, you'll be there for our donors every step of the way, making sure they have a great experience.

Here's what a typical day might look like:
Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donateComplete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin testsSet up machines, various tubing, and collection bagsInsert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasmaProvide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection processManage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistanceMonitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donationHelp create an awesome donor experience that keeps them coming back for more!Our paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.
Besides having a real passion to deliver an amazing donor experience, you'll need to be able to:
Attend 48 hours across 7 shifts per fortnight (additional shifts may be available)Be available for a variety of shifts inclusive of weekends and afternoonsSupport and foster a fantastic team cultureOccasionally lift between 9-22.7kgsFrequently stand, walk, and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood productsHold a current AHPRA registrationThrive in a diverse culture that cares for your wellbeing We're a diverse and inclusive bunch.
