About the role We're on the lookout for a Registered Nurse to join our team at the Darwin Donor Centre.

As a Registered Nurse with us, you'll be there for our donors every step of the way, making sure they have a great experience.
Here's what a typical day might look like: Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests Set up machines, various tubing and collection bags Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation Help create an awesome donor experience that keeps them coming back for more!
Our paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.
Besides having a real passion to deliver an amazing donor experience, you'll need to be able to:? Attend 48 hours across 7 shifts per fortnight (additional shifts may be available) Be available for a variety of shifts inclusive of weekend and afternoons Utilise your amazing communication skills Support and foster a fantastic team culture Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products Hold a current AHPRA registration Thrive in a diverse culture that cares for your wellbeing We're a diverse and inclusive bunch.
