ALBURY WODONGA HEALTH Registered Nurses Post Graduate Certificate- Critical Care Nursing Albury Intensive Care Unit We are excited to advertise positions for the extended 2024-25 Post-Graduate Certificate Nursing programs in the Critical Care nursing. This is a regional leading opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge and nursing skills through our partnership with the University of Melbourne. The availability of rotations through both our Emergency Departments and Critical Care Unit, allows the unique opportunity to excel in your studies.
This option of beginning your course in the winter intake, enables time for consolidation clinically in your current role with the theoretical online subjects (Applied Pathophysiology & Foundations of Critical Care Nursing) in June – November 2024.
The practical and work-based learning content will run March – November 2025 and will be supported by your education team. This program will be over 18 months.
Albury Wodonga Health is one of the largest regional health Services in New South Wales and Victoria, with a unique cross border health service that provides excellence in care to our regional communities. We are a dynamic organisation undergoing significant growth- with a new Emergency Department planned for 2024. The combined presentations between our two ED's is approximately 70,000 per annum, with a variety of presentations of all aged groups and specialties. Our critical care unit, comprises a mix of ICU, HDU and CCU beds and provides critical care services for North East Victoria and Southern NSW.

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:
• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA;
• Minimum 1 year post registration experience in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing;
• Successful completion of TSP or similar is highly desirable;
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-focused care;
• Ability to provide leadership in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the relevant state nursing awards.
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).
