In this position, the clinician will provide specialist drug and alcohol services within court diversion programs (Adult Court and Magistrates Early Referral into Treatment) for clients presenting with substance use issues.Duties include:- Provide evidence-based drug and alcohol assessment, case management, and counselling services to patients accessing the MERIT and Drug Court programs.- Assist with participants on the Opioid Treatment program and OAT Clinics, working closely with their prescriber.In this role, the opportunity to make a tangible difference to some of Australia's most vulnerable, including First Nations people, is unmatched. As rural and remote services are harder to access, clients are more unwell and really need your help. You will build fulfilling long-term relationships and clearly see the results of your work.Working in the community, you will have great autonomy and see a wide range of presentations.
