Remuneration : $70,049.73 - $98,351.39 + Super + Salary Packaging Location: Muswellbrook CommunityHealth Service Employment Type : Temporary Full Time until 31st Jan 2025 Position Classification :Registered Nurse Hours Per Week :38 Requisition ID :REQ476718 Applications Close: Monday, 15th April 2024 About the Role: The Palliative Care RN works collaboratively with the CNS to provide compassionate person-centred care to people with life-limiting illnesses, in the community setting. The RN works with the client / their families and a multi-disciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes. The duties of the RN include, but not limited to: specialist symptom management, case co-ordination, prioritising caseloads and requires a comprehensive understanding of medications used in the palliative care domain. The Palliative Care team also includes a Social Worker and Occupational Therapist. Where you'll be working: The Hunter Valley Palliative Care Service is within the Hunter Valley Community Health (HVCH) team, based at Muswellbrook Community Health. We also have a Palliative Care team, based at Cessnock – the CNC2 is based at Cessnock but provides a Clinical Lead for both locations. There are other Nursing disciplines within HVCH: Community Nursing, Child and Family Health, Women's Health, Families NSW Perinatal Service and Dementia Advisory Service. Muswellbrook Hospital is a Level 3 District Hospital providing Emergency, General, Perioperative, Maternity and Outpatient services, situated less than a 3 hour drive from Sydney, and less than 2 hours from Newcastle. Muswellbrook is located in the rolling vineyards of the world-famous Hunter Valley wine country, where you can taste incredible local produce, take beautiful scenic drives, and discover art galleries featuring acclaimed national works.
