Dynamic work environment and collaborative team culture Flexibility for Work-Life Balance Inclusive Workplace Culture About the Role Applications are invited from suitably experienced Registered Nurses to become a valued member of the Albury Community Nursing Service at Albury Community Health. The role of the Community Registered Nurse is that of coordination and delivering nursing care to clients within a community based setting. It is expected that clinical care delivered by the community nurse will include complex care that requires specialist knowledge, skills and competence in the areas of wound care, including complex wound dressings, IV antibiotic administration and catheter care.
The Community Registered Nurse provides community based post acute and primary health care services to individuals and groups within the Albury area and local community. This position aims to maintain, protect and promote the well-being of the people living within the area. This position involves assessment, planning, appropriate referral and accurate record keeping as well as provision of direct clinical care to people with acute, chronic and complex care needs. The position is ideally suited to someone who has a strong interest in community/primary health care, client centred care, chronic and complex care needs.
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following key selection criteria to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
Nursing registration with AHPRA and current driver's license. Ability to travel for work purposes Minimum 3 years post graduate registration in an acute care facility or community based facility. Demonstrated understanding of the issues relating to the provision of home and centre based community nursing and the principles of Primary Health Care. This includes knowledge of wound management, IV antibiotic administration, catheter care, care coordination and management. Demonstrated ability to undertake a comprehensive clinical assessment and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised while maintaining accountability. Demonstrated committment to patient focused and centred care. Ability to plan and manage clinical activities. An understanding of and the ability to practice within a quality and risk management framework. Understanding of WHS legislation as it relates to employees 'responsibilities. Evidence of committment to ongoing education and professional development. Well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including computer literacy. Employment Type:  There are Permanent Part-Time and Fixed Term Part-Time positions available.
